The redesigned discussions and announcements has all of the same functionality of classic discussions and announcements, with a new look and a few additional features.<\/p>\n<h3>Discussions and Announcements Redesign: What\u2019s New?<\/h3>\n<div>\u00a0You can now:<\/div>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<div>Use the split screen to view the original post and its replies side-by-side.<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<div>Create anonymous discussions for more candid responses.<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<div>Sort Discussion and Announcement posts by date posted or filter posts to \u201cAll,\u201d \u201cUnread,\u201d and \u201cRead\u201d.<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<div>Use the search tool to find posts within a discussion.<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<div>Use the @ character and select a person to mention them when replying to a post in a discussion that isn\u2019t anonymous.
